Partner Eduardo Villanueva Ortiz, associate Emiliano Flores Zepeda, and attorneys Paola Guadalupe Medina Núñez and José Emilio Lezama Uribe advised the creditors' syndicate comprised of Banco Sabadell, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple; Avantta Sentir Común, S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R.; Banco Monex, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, Monex Grupo Financiero; Banco del Bajío, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple; and Banca Mifel, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, led by Banco Sabadell, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, in its capacity as Administrative and Guarantee Agent for the benefit of the creditors, in relation to a secured, multi-jurisdictional syndicated loan granted to the company that owns the Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa, a resort belonging to the Hyatt luxury collection.
The financing has a package of guarantees constituted on various assets located in different jurisdictions, including Mexico, the United States of America, and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront, adults-only, all-inclusive resort with 487 rooms, strategically located in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone, between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon.
