Villanueva Ortiz Abogados advises Banco Sabadell in a structured financing granted to an entity controlled APX Asset Management.
Partner, Eduardo Villanueva Ortiz, associate, Liam Sebastián Remberg Del Toro, and law clerk, Miriam Esperanza Martínez Muñoz, advised and represented Banco Sabadell, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple, in a structured financing granted to an entity controlled by APx Asset Management, S.C., an asset management firm with a portfolio exceeding $3,000,000,000.00 USD in assets, comprised of financial portfolios, structured and secured debt facilities, government securities, distressed assets, as well as the direct operation of a mortgage REIT and an infrastructure MLP.
APx Asset Management's primary focus is on special situations, private debt, infrastructure, real estate, and commercial banking, with a particular emphasis on real estate assets.
The proceeds of the financing will be used by APx Asset Management to develop hotel and urbanization projects in the most prestigious tourism zones in Mexico.
The financing is secured by a guarantee trust under Mexican law, to which the rights and resources of the projects financed by APx Asset Management and its entities were transferred.
