Villanueva Ortiz Abogados advises Banco Sabadell on a loan granted to a special purpose vehicle controlled by Grupo Inmobiliario Zayat, for the acquisition of an industrial building strategically located in Querétaro, Mexico.
Partner Eduardo Villanueva Ortiz, associate Liam Sebastián Remberg Del Toro, and law clerk Miriam Esperanza Martínez Muñoz, advised and represented Banco Sabadell, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple (“Sabadell”), in a loan granted to a special purpose vehicle controlled by Grupo Inmobiliario Zayat, for the acquisition of a strategically located industrial building in Querétaro, Mexico.
The property is currently leased to a Mexican subsidiary of Yanfeng, a global leader in automotive interiors headquartered in Shanghai. Yanfeng operates more than 240 plants worldwide and is a supplier of innovative interior systems, electronics, seating, and safety systems for major automotive brands.
The loan is secured by a guarantee trust under Mexican law, to which ownership of the property, as well as the collection rights derived from the lease agreement with Yanfeng, were transferred.
This operation reaffirms Sabadell's commitment to the industrial real estate sector in Mexico and consolidates the strategic position of Grupo Inmobiliario Zayat in the key logistics corridors of the Bajío region.
