Financing for the Construction of the Live Aqua Hotel in the Historic Center of Mexico City

The partner, Eduardo Villanueva Ortiz, associate, Emiliano Flores Zepeda, and law clerk, María José Pérez Orozco, advised and represented Avantta Sentir Común, S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R., in relation to a loan of $160,000,000.00 MXN granted to Inmobiliaria One Asesoría y Administración, S.A. de C.V., owner of the property where the “Live Aqua Centro Histórico” hotel will be built.

This hotel —located in the heart of Mexico City— will be managed and operated by Grupo Posadas, Mexico’s largest hotel company and recognized as number one in ESG responsibility within the tourism sector according to Merco 2025.

The “Live Aqua” brand has received worldwide recognition through awards such as the Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards, the Latin American Wedding Awards, and the Prix Versailles, acknowledging its hotels as the best in North America for their architecture, design, high levels of service, and exceptional facilities.

VOA was responsible for the preparation and execution of the loan agreement and its guarantee system, including a Mexican trust agreement, FF&E Pledge, and mortgage agreement over the property.
